Parents
The Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) provides free information, training, and support to families related to the inclusion of students with disabilities in general education classroom/school settings and participation in the general education curriculum.
The Florida Inclusion Network works in partnership with local schools/districts. Requests for FIN services to schools must be made by the child's teacher, school administrator, or district administrator/program staff.
During your initial contact with your local FIN facilitator, you will be asked to provide background information about your child and their current educational placement, identify any questions and/or concerns you might have, and identify your goals/desired outcomes for your child.
Your local FIN facilitator will provide you with information about inclusion, identify any learning opportunities or other supports that are available through FIN, and will help you to contact/access other resources and supports that might be appropriate for your situation.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child's educational program or would like to revisit his/her Individual Education Plan (IEP), the Florida Inclusion Network encourages you to speak to your child's teacher or principal.
